About Us

  Hi, Holiday Rescue 365 offers strategies to help reduce stress on any given holiday. We address common stressors including family dynamics, expectations, social media comparisons, and more. People don’t always realize while a holiday can be wonderful, it can also be a time of anxiety, stress, relationship pressure and loneliness. 

Our aim is to provide strategies to avoid emotional pitfalls, show the power of self-compassion, and be a community where people can realize they are not alone.

This business is an off shoot of Motherrr.com a website dedicated to healing the mother/adult daughter relationship. In 2012, the founders, Laurie and Barb, were struggling with their relationships to the point where Laurie almost became estranged from her mother. They couldn’t find any help online, so they decide to help themselves and others by starting a website. 

Over the past 12 years, the website has won numerous awards, become international, helped thousands of women and they have healed their own relationships so much so Laurie and her Mom, Dr. Marlou, have become award winning writers and professional speakers on the subject. 

Holiday Rescue 365 was created because every year the traffic to motherrr.com goes through the roof, starting the two weeks before Thanksgiving right through Christmas with women looking for help. They realized how much pressure The Holidays can place on people but also they began to see especially in the older individuals, that any given holiday can be stressful. 

What make us unique is we are offering information based on years of intense research, interacting with thousands of women and our own personal success. And since Barb was a teacher and has a master’s degree in psychology, and Marlou has a doctorate from Columbia University in Adult Education and Laurie is a former TV Producer, they are able to offer courses filled with compassion, useful information, delivered in an engaging way that makes it easy to digest and to achieve real results.
